Substance Abuse Prevention
Keeping Youth Drug Free.
Just as Jesus values children so does My Brother's Keeper and so we want to provide something special for the youth. It is uncommon for a church to have a special program for their children. (i.e. Sunday school) Children are often times mistreated and of little value in their culture, they are a force to grow up quickly, starting work and carrying for a family at an early age. With that in mind, we are added to our outreach (S.O.Y.) Program. A summer youth festival and it's truly a party! Youth and parents attend this high energy, youth friendly event where they have fun and hear about the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ.
A young mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Investing in Camden County Youth
Many parents are concerned about messages on television, in movies and songs that encourage drug use, that fail to show the negative consequences of using drugs. Some parents prefer to restrict their children's access to the media and tell them why.
*Get educated about the risk now... *Hear from parents who have been there...... *Get advice on addressing your teen's drug use or drinking....
Helping young people grow up healthy. caring and responsible.
Whatever the circumstances, is really doesn’t matter. Addiction is a progressive desease. We are allergic to drugs. Our ends are always the same: jails, institutions or death. If life has become unmanageable and you want to live without it being necessary to use drugs, we have found a way. He are My Brother’s Keeper Recovery Ministry that we use on a daily basis to help us overcome our disease.
*Summer Outreaches. *Back to school: book bags, uniforms. *Monthly food bags. *Drug prevention outreach & education. *Christmas outreach: coats, hats, gloves, toys.
More people are abusing drugs today than in any other time in history, and many of those people are youth. The connection between youth and drug abuse raises several questions, like: Why are young people at risk of drug abuse? Why do young people use drugs? What is wrong with doing drugs when people have been doing them for centuries? We will try and answer some of these questions, but we need to start with the basics? The age of first exposure to and experimentation with drugs differs from county to county and depends on the circumstances and the environment. In some specific situations, such as that of children living in broken homes or single parents home, abuse of drugs is common at a very young age. Such behavior may be associated with the concurrent abuse of alcohol, tobacco or other drugs, or it may predispose the individual to the development of future drug problems. In general, however, for the majority of children and young people who try drugs, first exposure to drug use appears typically to take place well into adolescence, during the middle or late teenage period. Early age of onset of first drug consumption has also been identified as a predictor of the development of future drug problems and is commonly associated with other social problems.
My Child Is Taking Drugs...... What Should I Do? Is to let your child know that you do not approve of drug use or drug possession. “I am going to stand by you and always love you and guide you, but I do not want you taking drugs, I don’t want you making the wrong choice and then have bad things happen in your life”
Save Our Youth Healing Word Christian Guidance Center
God has given us an opportunity to go international and to build an Orphanage. The Orphanage will house children from Santo Domingo. This Orphanage will give young vulnerable children(ages 0-18yrs.) a chance at a better life through ministry, educational support, clothing, medical aid, family assistance and nutrition.
The orphanage is for children who's parents have problems with drugs or alcohol.
